This study, taken on by Dr. Janet Choi from Keck Medicine at the University of Southern California, sought to understand how routine use of hearing aids affected almost 10,000 participants with varying levels of hearing loss challenges.
Dr. Choi’s findings were incredible – the group of patients that used hearing aids regularly had a 24% lower risk of premature mortality compared to the group that didn’t use hearing aids at all.
Of course, that lowered risk only came as a result of routine wear; when used properly, hearing aids provide several benefits to your entire body. Unfortunately, many individuals neglect to wear their devices as they should and never fully adapt to wearing them every day.
